May 2012 - We Met.
July 2015 - We Adopted Annie (little Westie).
November 2017 - He Proposed.
July 2018 - We Said ‘I Do’.

In November 2017, he surprised me with the most romantic proposal including: 8 dozen roses, 50 candles and a custom designed ring. When he asked me the most important question I’ve ever been asked, of course I said ‘YES’!

I always pictured having my wedding where I grew up. The location has the most beautiful view of the Ottawa River and it’s where my family settled back in the 1800’s.

My first and only appointment to find the perfect dress took place at Renewed with Love Bridal in Ottawa. I think my bridesmaids were quite surprised that I found ‘the one’ so quickly. When I tried on the Mikaella dress it made me feel the way I had always imagined - beautiful, elegant, classy and a little bit sexy! The gown required no alterations so it literally felt like it was made for me.

His reaction as I walked down the aisle further confirmed that I had made a great decision. I received so many compliments on the dress and I was very proud to share that I was wearing a Canadian Designer.

Every detail and moment of that day was a dream come true!
