Traci and Brendan

HOW WE MET
We met working for a recruiting firm called CyberCoders (Brendan's still there). We were both too shy to make a move until one of our co-workers invited us to lunch for margaritas. After some liquid courage, we exchanged numbers and I invited him to a happy hour I was hosting that weekend before our work holiday party. That Saturday night, after the party was over, we danced the night away at The Strand House and the rest was history. "They say that when you find love, you’ll know. It will hit you hard like a firetruck on duty, like freshly made coffee on an eager tongue, like a sudden downpour just as you’re leaving the building." After 9 months of dating...WE GOT ENGAGED!

THE PROPOSAL
We decided to end the work day early on a Friday and go out for a nice lunch at our old stomping ground, The Strand House in Manhattan Beach (my hometown). Ever since we started dating, it was tradition to walk off the food/drinks and head to the pier to check out the waves since Brendan's a big surfer. We got about halfway down the pier when Brendan asked me to grab his floss out of his pocket (he ALWAYS has it on him and it's something I tease him about). I pulled the ring out of his pocket as he got down on one knee. Of course I said YES and then we went back to our favorite restaurant to celebrate with some champs!
